Essay “My Summer Vacation”: tema svolto in inglese per ripassare il Past Simple

Vedrai che, per raccontare tutte le esperienze fatte, i paesi visitati o gli straordinari alberi di un parco naturale, sarà naturalmente portato usare il Past simple.

Ma non avrà solo ripassato il tempo verbale inglese, avrà anche esercitato le sue abilità di scrittura e imparato a organizzare i pensieri e le idee in forma efficace. • nella maggior parte dei casi il passato si forma aggiungendo -ed alla forma base del verbo: worked (ma ci sono anche tanti irregolari)
• Usiamo il Past simple per parlare di:
  • qualcosa che accaduto una volta nel  passato: I met Paul in 1999
  • qualcosa che è accaduto varie volte nel passato: I walked to work every day
  • qualcosa che è stato vero per un periodo nel passato: Laura lived in England for 10 years

Hello! I want to tell you about my amazing summer vacation. It was a fun and exciting time filled with many great adventures.

During my summer vacation, my family and I went to the beach in Toscana. We traveled by car and it took us a few hours to get there. When we arrived, I couldn’t wait to jump into the cool water. I swam around a lot!

We also built sandcastles on the beach. The sand was very warm. With my bucket and shovel, I created a big castle with towers. It was so much fun to see my castle grow and show it to my family.

One day, we went on a boat ride to Giannutri. We sailed across the sparkling blue sea.We even saw dolphins swimming alongside the boat. It was a magical experience.

During our vacation, we also visited a water park near Follonica. There were big slides, lazy rivers, and pools to swim in. I went down the slides with my brother. We laughed and played all day long.

We also had a picnic in the park. We enjoyed delicious sandwiches, fruits, and snacks. The sun was shining, and we had a great time eating and playing games together.

In the evenings, we watched beautiful sunsets. The sky turned orange, pink, and purple, like a painting.

My summer vacation was fantastic. I had so much fun at the beach, building sandcastles, swimming, and going on a boat ride. 

Now, school has started again, but I will always remember the fun and happiness of my summer vacation. It was the best time ever!
