Essay “My Mother”:  Tema sulla mamma, svolto in inglese per bambini di quarta o quinta elementare

Devi far esercitare tuo figlio o tua figlia sul Present simple inglese, terza persona singolare. Hai due possibilità: la prima è fargli ripetere sempre le stesse cose, fino alla noia, bla bla bla. La seconda è proporgli di passare dalla teoria alla pratica: scrivere un essay in inglese, un breve tema sulla persona che gli è più cara al mondo: la sua mamma. 

Sì, proprio così. Anche per i bambini della scuola primaria  scrivere un essay è un ottimo modo per imparare una lingua straniera, ma non solo. Li aiuterà a riflettere modo attivo a organizzare i pensieri, a utilizzare il vocabolario e le strutture grammaticali studiate.

Certo, per rendere più piacevole la scrittura, è importante suggerire sempre argomenti vicini al loro vissuto quotidiano. Per esempio anche un essay dal titolo Descrivi la tua famiglia accenderà di sicuro l’interesse dei piccoli studenti.

Prima di cominciare, ripassa velocemente con tuo figlio le regole del Present Simple alla terza persona e le poche eccezioni:

• Si aggiunge -s alla forma base del verbo: My Mum loves me.
• I verbi che finiscono in consonante+y, fanno -ies: the bird flies.
• I verbi che finiscono in -ss, -x, -sh, -ch aggiungono -es: She mixes, she wishes.
• Il verbo To have fa has: She has.
• Il verbo To be fa is: She is.
• Il verbo To go fa goes: She goes.
• Il verbo To do fa does: She does.

She is always interested in what I did during the day and encourages me to do my best.

My mother has many talents and hobbies. She loves to sing and has a beautiful voice. Sometimes, she sings lullabies to help me fall asleep at night. She also enjoys painting. Her paintings are colorful and full of imagination. I love seeing her artwork hanging on the walls of our home.

My mother supports me in everything I do. She believes in me and encourages me to follow my dreams. When I feel sad or scared, she hugs me tightly and assures me that everything will be alright. Her love is unconditional, and I know I can always count on her.

My mother is my hero. She is loving, kind, and beautiful. She takes care of me and makes sure I am safe and happy. I am grateful for everything she does for our family.
